About me
In his shows, guitarist, singer and poet Gregory Page brings his endearing stage presence, evocative lyrics, and a warm voice, to present his music drawn from both imagination and experience. His songs transcend traditions of folk, Celtic, American roots, Jazz, Ragtime, Blues, Swing, and French Romanticism. He has toured the world many times over, and has been the support act for such well-knowns as Bob Dylan, John Prine, Judy Collins, and Jason Mraz, and has performed in many iconic venues such as the London Palladium, the main hall at the Paradiso in Amsterdam and the Woodford Folk Festival in Australia.
Born in North London, UK, Gregory Page is the son of a traveling Armenian pop singer (whom Gregory didn’t meet until his 49s) and an Irish mother who was the lead singer/saxophone player in one of Britain's first all-girl rock & roll groups, The Beat-Chics, who toured with The Beatles in 1965. At 14, he moved to the US, learned to play guitar and gradually became the extraordinary singer/songwriter he is today.
