San Diego’s own Johnny "V" has a long history of playing guitar with such blues greats as Luther Tucker and Sunnyland Slim, rock & roll Legend Chuck Berry, Steve "Guitar" Miller, Greg Allman, George Thorogood, Charlie Daniels, Norton Buffalo, Commander Cody & the Lost Planet Airmen and Elvin Bishop, just to name a few.
His stint in Bishop’s band led to 6 albums, multiple Gold Records, endless touring and, in 1974, the #3 song in the nation "Fooled Around and Fell in Love." Elvin and Johnny's dual lead and slide parts set a style that became part of the Southern Rock Sound and lives on today.
